Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta is a member of the Dignity Health system of health care providers and is a not-for-profit medical facility. We are designated as a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital and are accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health care Organizations. In addition to our acute care hospital we also own and operate two Rural Health Clinics providing walk-in immediate care as well as scheduled appointments for routine medical needs. We are located in the northernmost area of California and are part of a network of care, including Mercy Medical Center Redding and St. Elizabeth Community Hospital in Red Bluff. Under the supervision of the attending physician, renders Physician Assistant services under the guidelines of the California's Physician Assistants Examining Committee under Title 16, Chapter 13. 8. Supports the educational needs of
Mercy Community Clinic as needed.
Relocation Assistance AND Sign-on Bonus Available
- Minimum one year of experience as a Physician Assistant.
- Experience as a Physician Assistant in an acute care outpatient ambulatory clinic.
- Undergraduate degree and internship required to obtain California Physician Assistant certification
- BLS certification
- DEA certification
- Physician Assistant Certification for California
- Ability to: 1) Work effectively as a team member in the delivery of health care services. 2) Evaluate and analyze patient situations accurately and take effective actions. 3) Communicate effectively verbally and in writing in order to prepare clear and concise reports and records.
